Mama Cash supports women, girls, and trans and intersex people in their fight for their rights. We back activists courageously making their voices heard, criticising oppressive or restrictive norms and practices, and lobbying for just laws. We champion the feminists demanding their political, economic, cultural, social and civil rights, and insisting on bodily autonomy.                                                                                

Through our collaboration with donors, we move more and better money to movements. Together, with activists and donors, we’re working towards a more just world for women, girls, and trans and intersex people. 

Sharing power

Sharing power is at the heart of Mama Cash’s approach. All our grantmaking decisions are made by feminist activists, not our staff. With activists taking the reins in decision-making, we ensure power is where it belongs: in the hands of those fighting for change. Together, we shape a more equitable future.
